Meet Willow!
Willow is a F1B Standard Bernedoodle! She was born Febraury 26th 2024.
Originally trained for an individual for Alzheimer’s and other factors, but to due rapid declined, we needed to find a new placement for her.
Basic Commands:
Name: Reliable response to their name
Ready?: Focus and anticipation for the next command
Mark: Intense focus on an object for retrieving
Free: Return to the handler for a reward
Yes/Good: Positive reinforcement for correct and desired behavior
No: Gentle guidance towards the desired behavior
Sit: Classic sit position.
Here: Come when called
Down: Lie down on command.
Leave it: Ignore tempting objects, promoting impulse control.
Kennel: Enter their crate calmly.
Climb: Confidently climb onto a platform.
Inside/Outside: Understand and respond to these directional cues.
Go Potty
Load Up: Willingly enter a vehicle.
Loose Leash: Enjoy walks without pulling.
Off: Refrain from jumping or getting on furniture.
Leash on/off and gear on/off: communication of putting training gear on
Socialization & Confidence Building
Willow has been introduced to a variety of sights, sounds, and experiences to foster a confident and be well-adjusted:
Weather Sounds: Thunderstorms and Fireworks
People: Men, Women, Children and People with different appearences(hats, sunglasses, etc)
Everyday Objects: Vaccums, Mops, Home Sounds
Loud Noises: Develop a healthy response to unexpected sounds
Body AwarenessWillow know her names of her body parts, making grooming and care a breeze:

Tasks:
My Lap: deep pressure therapy
Responding to zoning out and increase heart rate, knee tapping, nail picking.
Pros about her:
She loves people! She has been around all kinds of people: young, adults and elderly. She does gravitate to women more than men, but will do great around either. She also does really well with other animals like dogs, cats, chickens and goats.
Cons about her: she can be a little pushy with her task alerts. We have been working on toning it down just a little. But for someone that zones out hard, this could be a pro.
Grooming needs: Willow does get groomed every 6-7 weeks to maintain her coat. She will be freshly groomed upon departure no matter what. Future owner would need to setup future grooming appointments. Keep in mind, this breed as needs daily brushing and combing to prevent mats.
